Today we look at the age breakdown of active users across ten leading social platforms. What’s strikingly clear from our latest wave of data – released earlier this month – is that 16-24s lead the way only on YouTube (32%), Instagram (39%) and Tumblr (45%). In contrast, the 25-34 age group are ahead for all of the rest, including on big players such as Google+ (31%), Twitter (31%) and Facebook (29%). Perhaps most tellingly, 25-34s are most dominant on Myspace (37%). Of course, it’s important to recognize that the size of the 16-24 audience on the largest networks remains significant. But this data strongly suggests that the age profile of active users on sites such as Facebook is shifting upwards as the youngest networkers embrace newer sites the most enthusiastically. Social Networkers by Age: 25-34s are
The Most Active Group on Facebook

Hi there
